2) Crossroads Schedule and Activities
--------------------------------------------------

A. March 25, 2007: Crossroads will meet at 11:30 am at South Village for the final session ("In The End, Sovereignty Wins") of the video series: "More Than Meets The Eye, Science and the Sovereignty of God" by Dr. Richard Swenson who was awarded Educator of the Year Award by Christian Medical & Dental Associations. Thomas Lai will facilitate this session. Please come to see and learn some revealed truths of God’s kingdom.

B. Monthly Potluck: Crossroads will have a monthly Friday potluck dinner and fellowship time, starting March 30 at 6:30p.m. at Sean and Joori’s house. We welcome newcomers interested in Crossroads to attend, so think of friends you might invite to a low-key, social event with food and fun (and lots of kids). We believe this will help Crossroads be more connected without facing a limited timeframe on Sundays. Please RSVP to Joo Ri Kim at joori@comcast.net.

  1. Local Ministry Conference (April 26-29): Village is putting on a conference similar to the Fall Radical Connections conference but featuring ministries at Village and local ministries outside of Village that we are involved with.

The conference will begin with a dinner on Thursday, April 26. The keynote in our worship services on April 28/29 will be Mark DeYmaz from Mosaic church in Arkansas. Down in the gym will be a ministry fair.

Each ministry area is being asked to put together a booth that will
highlight their area and also opportunities for service in that area. Stay tuned for more information….

. We meet at 5:30p.m. for fellowship through dinner, and childcare will be provided by Village during the new Saturday service time. If you are interested in checking out the group, please send an email Karen Chi at karen_h_chi@hotmail.com or call us at (503) 207-5651. (*We have switched our schedule this month and we are meeting this Saturday (March 24) at China Town. See you there!)

C. Crossroads Open Life Group: This Life Group meets during the Sunday hour at 11:30am at South Village. This life group will be co-led by Sean Kim and Thomas Lai, and the content of the life group has not been finalized yet. So if you are looking for a life group and can’t attend the others due to schedule conflicts, check out the Open Life Group. Crossroads will continue to serve its entire community through social fellowship, but will also endeavor to serve more personal needs through the new fellowship. For more details or questions, please contact Sean at seanskim@comcast.net or Thomas Lai at thomaslai@comcast.net.

Pastor and Mrs. Soo Young Lee's Goodbye Potluck

Last Saturday Sean and Joori Kim hosted a potluck at their house for Pastor and Mrs. Soo Young Lee. The Lees are about to embark on a long-term mission to Africa, and many of the people impacted by the vision and personal attention of the Lees came to reminisce and share how they were touched by the Lees. Good food was enjoyed by all, and it was amazing to see all the kids! A few pictures below, compliments of Sean and Joori. Thank you Sean and Joori for opening your lovely home to host this occasion.
